Chief Investment Officer & Portfolio Manager
Dr. Manfre is the founder and currently CEO and President of the Investment Manager, Bardi Co, LLC (BCo), which was established in September 2012, and CEO and President of Bardi Capital Management, LLC. Dr. Manfre’ experience includes serving as a financial advisor and strategic consultant to both domestic and international corporations as related to merger, acquisition, divestiture, joint venture, corporate restructuring, and financing transactions. Before joining Bardi Co., Dr. Manfre led the corporate valuation practice at Marshall & Stevens in the Los Angeles office. He began his financial services career with Standard & Poor’s CVC in Los Angeles. Dr. Manfre holds an MBA in finance from the Drucker School of Management, an MA in Economics from Claremont Graduate University and a PhD also in economics from Claremont Graduate University, California. He holds the Series 24, 28, 7, 79, and 63 FINRA Licenses. Dr. Manfre is a clinical professor of finance at Pepperdine University in Los Angeles, where he teaches Investment and Portfolio Management at the graduate level. He is also faculty at the New York Institute of Finance, in New York.
Executive Vice President of Operations
Dr. Daye is specialized portfolio management, in fiat and digital currencies, and their derivatives. Prior to joining BCM as a principal, Dr. Daye has worked at UBS as an Executive Director in Structured Financing Trading.
He was responsible for portfolio construction and risk management of securitized product collaterals, including CMBS, RMBS, CLO, Mezz CRE Loans, ABS, and CDO's. Prior to joining UBS, Dr. Daye was a counterparty risk quant for Deutsche Bank. He began his career in financial services at Lehman Brothers' CMBS desk. Dr. Daye holds a Ph.D. from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles and a MS in Financial Engineering form the Drucker School of Management, Claremont California. He is licensed Series 24, 7 and 63 (inactive).
Chief Investment Strategist
Luca Facchini is a trading professional with over twenty years of experience. He worked as a futures and options broker and as a branch office manager for various brokerage firms.
Mr. Facchini also worked as a CTA (Commodity Trading Advisor) and he has developed a proprietary software for risk control and unique algorithmic trading solutions for professional traders. Mr. Facchini is an internationally renowned finance professional. His expertise as a broker, trader, system developer and analyst has allowed Mr. Facchini to continuously challenge common assumptions and create innovative trading programs across markets and financial instruments. Mr. Facchini is a published author (Bloomberg magazine in Italy) and a featured speaker at several investment conferences on the topics of stocks, options, futures, Forex and commodities.
Michael Isaev is an investment manager and quantitative analyst at Bardi Capital Management, LLC, where he specializes in event-driven investment strategies as well as beta portfolio strategies.
Prior to joining Bardi Capital Management, LLC, Mr. Isaev has worked with Brockett Tamny & Company, Inc., as an investment banking analyst. In this role, he was responsible for creating valuation models, leading the due-diligence effort, and preparing road-show marketing documents for private placements offerings. Mr. Isaev holds a BS in economics from the Siberian Transport University in Russian Federation and a Finance Certificate from UCLA, California.
Vice President of Investor Relations
Sylvia Blount is a Vice President at Bardi Co. investment bank and VP of Investor Relations of Bardi Capital Management, LLC. At Bardi Co., she is part of the M&A department where she specializes in sell-side transactions, capital raises and M&A arbitrage.
During her time at Bardi Co., Ms. Blount has originated international M&A assignments for a total transaction value of over $250 million. Before joining Bardi Co., Ms. Blount has worked for middle market corporations covering business development activities. Ms. Blount started her career in finance at Fortune 500 company ING Transamerica as a financial analyst in the wealth management division. Ms. Blount is a graduate of LMU where she earned a degree in finance. Ms. Blount holds the Series 79 and 63 FINRA Licenses.
